Who and what this policy covers
PsychicOz Inc. (“PsychicOz,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy covers the affiliate business at affiliates.psychicoz.com, including affiliate applications, accounts, referral tracking, commissions, business enquiries and use of this website.
It applies to visitors, affiliate applicants, approved affiliates and people contacting the affiliate team. Our affiliate application and account portal are hosted through Post Affiliate Pro. Information about purchasing or providing a psychic reading is addressed separately in the PsychicOz platform privacy policy.
Information we collect
The information involved depends on whether you browse the website, apply, participate in the program or contact us:
- Application and business details: first and last name, email or account username, company name, website URL, address, country, telephone number, referral identifier, promotional methods, traffic information and the description of your website or business that you submit.
- Account and administration details: your affiliate identifier, application or account status, account-access and authentication information, account settings and communications about participation.
- Referral and commission records: affiliate or campaign identifiers, tracking links, clicks, referring pages, event dates, transaction or referral identifiers, qualifying purchase amounts and commission or payout status used to attribute and administer referrals.
- Payout information: the PayPal email address you provide, amounts paid or payable, payout dates and payment-status records. We may request additional tax or payment information when required for legal reporting or payment administration.
- Business communications: names, email addresses, subjects, message contents and related information supplied through the contact form, email or a support request.
- Technical and usage information: network identifiers such as IP addresses, browser or device information, referring URLs, pages requested, timestamps, website interactions and security or diagnostic events.
We receive information directly from you, through website and affiliate-tracking technologies, and from service providers involved in account administration, attribution, security, analytics or payments.
Why we use information
We use information relevant to the affiliate business to:
- review applications, assess promotional properties and communicate an application decision;
- create, administer and secure affiliate accounts and provide links and marketing materials;
- attribute referrals, assess qualification, calculate commissions and maintain reports;
- process payouts, correct payment details and investigate payment enquiries;
- respond to business enquiries and resolve account or technical problems;
- identify fraud, spam, unauthorized access or program violations;
- understand website usage and improve content, navigation and performance;
- send necessary account, payment, security and program communications; and
- maintain appropriate accounting, tax and business records, comply with law and resolve disputes.
We process information with consent or another authority available under applicable law. Where processing depends on consent, you may contact us about withdrawing it, subject to applicable legal or contractual restrictions. Information needed to administer an account or pay a commission may be necessary for that part of the program.
Affiliate tracking and commission records
Affiliate links identify the affiliate or campaign that referred a visitor. Our affiliate platform uses tracking information to connect eligible purchases with referrals, review activity and calculate commissions. The program has a 180-day referral cookie window, as described in the affiliate terms.
Browser settings, consent choices, cookie deletion, link changes and use of different devices can affect attribution. Cookie duration is a tracking setting, not a promise that all related account, transaction or commission records are deleted after 180 days.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website and connected services use cookies or similar technologies for different purposes:
- Account and security: maintaining a login session, supporting requested account functions and helping identify misuse.
- Referral attribution: associating visits and eligible purchases with an affiliate identifier or campaign.
- Analytics: measuring visits and website interactions through Google Analytics 4.
- Form protection: supporting Google reCAPTCHA and related measures that help distinguish legitimate form activity from abuse.
You can use browser controls to block, remove or restrict cookies. Doing so can affect login functions, security checks or referral attribution. Where a service offers additional privacy or consent controls, those controls apply to that service. Contact us if you need help understanding the choices relevant to your affiliate account.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website usage, such as pages visited and interactions with the website. Analytics information can include browser and device characteristics and cookie-based or similar identifiers used for measurement. This helps us improve the affiliate website; affiliate-platform records are used separately to administer commissions.
Google processes analytics information under its applicable terms and Privacy Policy. Cookie lifespan and analytics-data retention are different settings; a cookie’s expiry does not establish how long every report or account record is kept.
For supported browsers, Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on can limit information sent by Google Analytics JavaScript. It does not disable our website’s necessary account or security records or the separate affiliate-tracking system.
Services that support the affiliate business
We use service providers for the functions described in this policy. The principal named services are:
- Post Affiliate Pro, provided by Quality Unit: hosts our affiliate application and account portal and supports affiliate administration, referral tracking, reports and commission records. See the Post Affiliate Pro privacy information.
- PayPal: processes affiliate payouts using the PayPal account information provided for that purpose. PayPal also handles information under its own Privacy Statement.
- Google Analytics 4: provides the website analytics described above.
- Google reCAPTCHA: helps protect application and contact forms from spam and abuse. Google may receive technical, browser, device and network information in connection with these checks. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Website hosting, email delivery, security, technical support and professional advisers may also handle information needed to support the affiliate business. Providers receive information relevant to their role and may also have their own legal obligations or privacy terms.
When information is disclosed
We disclose information as needed to operate the program, provide the services above, process payments, investigate fraud or disputes, meet legal requirements, or establish or defend legal rights. We may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent.
If the affiliate business is involved in a proposed or completed sale, merger, financing or other business transfer, relevant information may be disclosed to the parties involved subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
We do not sell or rent affiliate application or account information. Using service providers for account administration, payments, security and analytics involves the processing and disclosures described in this policy.
International processing
PsychicOz is based in British Columbia, Canada. Our service providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other countries where they operate. Information processed outside your location may be subject to lawful access under the laws of that jurisdiction.
Where applicable law requires protections for an international transfer, those requirements apply to the relevant processing. You can contact us for information about the providers or processing relevant to your affiliate account.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on the type of record, the affiliate relationship and the purpose for which the information is needed. Application and account information supports program administration; transaction and payout records may need to be retained for accounting, tax, fraud review, disputes or other legal obligations.
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and applicable requirements. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable retention requirements. Closing an account does not automatically require removal of records that must be retained.
The affiliate cookie window is not a retention schedule for all program records. GA4 user- and event-data retention depends on the analytics property’s settings, and providers such as PayPal may retain their own records under their policies and legal obligations. Contact us to ask about a particular category of information.
Protecting information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information and its use, including access controls and measures intended to protect the website, accounts and business communications. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Contact the affiliate team if you believe an affiliate account or information held for the program has been accessed without authorization.
Business and marketing communications
We use contact details for application decisions, account administration, security, support, commission enquiries and program updates. Optional marketing communications, where sent, are subject to applicable law and your communication choices.
You can use an unsubscribe option provided with a marketing email or contact us about marketing preferences. Necessary account, payment, security and legal communications may continue when you opt out of optional marketing.
Your privacy requests and choices
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access to personal information held about you, ask about its use or disclosure, correct inaccurate information, withdraw consent, or request deletion or other limits on processing. You can also ask to close your affiliate account.
Send requests to [email protected] with the subject “Affiliate Privacy Request.” Describe the account or information concerned and what you would like us to do. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify identity or authority before responding. Requests are subject to applicable legal exceptions and retention requirements.
We will respond in accordance with applicable law. You may also raise a concern with the privacy or data-protection authority that has jurisdiction. Canadian privacy information is available from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and, for matters within its jurisdiction, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Adult business participation
The affiliate program is intended for adults who meet the age and eligibility requirements in the affiliate terms. It is not directed to children under 18. Contact us if you believe an ineligible child has supplied information through the affiliate website or application.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when affiliate operations, service providers, legal requirements or privacy practices change. The updated page will show a revised date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, those requirements apply.
Links to independent services and websites lead to their own privacy notices. This affiliate policy does not replace the notices governing a provider’s independent processing or the separate PsychicOz reading platform.
